Town of Arena – Regular Meeting

June 12, 2006

 

 

PRESENT:  Bob Murphy, Bill Gauger, Dave Lucey, Laurie Ziebarth, Minnie Gauger, Louis Carpenter, Dave Meudt, Ingmar Nelson, Dick and Mary Lockman

 

The meeting was called to order.  Gauger moved to approve the minutes of the May 8, 2006 meeting, Lucey seconded, motion passed.  Lucey moved to pay the bills presented, Gauger seconded, motion carried.

 

Gauger moved to approve liquor licenses for the following, Lucey seconded, motion passed.

Terry Askevold - Class B beer & liquor

Phillip Chandler - Class B beer & liquor

Patricia Rasmussen - Class B beer & liquor

Tom Porter - Wholesale beer

Gary Heck - Class A beer & liquor

Stephen Pappas - Class B beer

Lucey moved to approve operator's licenses for Stephen Pappas, Viola Paulus, Philip Chandler, Catherine Rood, Kenneth Kruchten, Louise Snider, Amy Cody, Leisa Lessard, Christine Hanson, Edwin Olson, Diane Holzum, Kenneth Nachreiner, Steve Holzum, Jayne Wonn, Dave Burkhalter, with 3 month licenses for Ashley Lund and Trisha Yapp.

 

Lucey moved to approve rezoning for Inez Learn on 18 acres from A1 to and B1 to AR1, Gauger seconded, motion passed.  Gauger moved to approve a driveway permit for Ingmar Nelson, Lucey seconded, motion carried, noting the building and driveway permit had been extended for 6 months at the last Plan Commission meeting.  Lucey moved to approve a building permit for Sue Mellum, Gauger seconded, motion passed.  Gauger moved to approve a building permit for Dan Jackson contingent upon receiving the permit paperwork and fee, Lucey seconded, motion carried.  Lucey moved to approve rezoning for Guy McCutcheon on rezone 5.01 acres from A1 & B3 to AR1, Gauger seconded, motion passed.

 

Lucey moved to purchase the Command Central voting system through Iowa County to meet the Help America Vote Act, approving the signing of the Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement to Facilitate Purchase of Accessible Voting System with Iowa County, Gauger seconded, motion passed.

 

Mail was read.  Road work was discussed.  Gauger moved to adjourn, Lucey seconded, motion passed.
