Town of Arena – Special Meeting

August 3, 2006

PRESENT: Bob Murphy, Bill Gauger, Dave Lucey, Laurie Ziebarth, about 40 others

The meeting was called to order. Lucey moved to rezone 48.11 acres from A1 to B4 with conditional uses for the operation of an ethanol plant to manufacture ethanol and related by-products along with a land division and driveway permit for Hartung Brothers, Inc; Gauger seconded.

Comments were received from:

• Ingmar Nelson who presented 60 signed petitions from those living in the vicinity and opposed to the ethanol plant
• Kim Nelson stated they had possibly misstated the concerns they had heard regarding the Hartung fertilizer plant

The motion was voted upon and passed unanimously.

John Wright questioned who should pursue the matter of getting a performance bond from Hartung Brothers, Inc for Hayward Crossing Road. This matter will be put on the Town Board agenda.

Lucey moved to adjourn, Gauger seconded, motion passed.
