ARENA PLAN COMMISSION

September 5, 2006

PRESENT: John Wright, Cheryl Schmidt, Wayne Schutte, Terry Denruiter, Rod Anding, Bob Murphy, Bill Gauger, Dave Lucey

OTHERS: Laurie Ziebarth, Ingmar Nelson, Terry from Falmouth Farms

The meeting was called to order. Anding moved to approve the minutes of the August 7, 2006 meeting, Schmidt seconded, motion passed.

1. A driveway permit for Tim Draxler was presented for a 48 acre parcel off Blue Ridge Road. The driveway will be 690 feet long. It was noted the driveway permit had been approved at the June meeting.

2. The Commission discussed John Forseth's request to rezone a portion of his property for financing purposes. The Commission stated they would have no problem with the Town Board acting on this rezoning request.

3. Terry from Falmouth Farms reported they will be hosting the St. Jude's Children's Hospital Benefit Trail Ride and activities at the Farm in May 2007. Some of the riders would be camping on the property the night before the ride. Terry was instructed to check with the Iowa County Zoning Office to determine if any permits would be needed for the event.

4. Ingmar Nelson asked if he could put in rental cabins on his 230 acre property off Helena Road. Depending on the type of cabin, recreational or commercial, there may be different requirements. The Iowa County Zoning Office should be contacted about commercial zoning for cabins.

The next meeting will be held Monday, October 2, 2006 at 7:00pm at the Town Hall. Schutte moved to adjourn, Denruiter seconded, motion passed.
