ARENA PLAN COMMISSION

April 2, 2007

 

PRESENT:  John Wright, Wayne Schutte, Terry Denruiter, Bob Murphy, Dave Lucey, KayDee Maxwell, Cheryl Schmidt, Mark Hottmann, Rod Anding, Bill Gauger,

The meeting was called to order.  Wayne Schutte moved to approve the minutes of the March 5, 2007 meeting, Anding seconded, motion passed.

 

Ingmar Nelson has a tentative agreement to purchase farmland along Hwy 14, zoned A-1. Nelson had the idea of putting a municipal pool on the land. He would donate the land and $50,000 - $100,000 for the pool. He envisions the pool to be privately funded and maintained. He also would like to put other businesses on the property. Approximately 10 acres would need to be rezoned.

 

Brian Albrecht currently has a 1 acre parcel and would like to purchase additional land from Bill Tatro to build a house. The land is zoned Ag. Can they plant trees on the property and build a house right away?

 

Larry Anding wants to add .18 acre triangle of AR-1 land to his existing land zoned A-1. Then he would take .18 acre of his existing property and add it to on the north end. Schutte moved to rezone .18 acre. Hottmann seconded, motion passed.  Anding paid $250.00 for the rezoning.

 

            John Rasmussen wants to create three land divisions and one rezone on his property. The land divisions are a 10 acre strip of land, an existing 25 acre strip, and a 50 acre parcel. Anding moved to grant the three land divisions and one rezone. Denruiter seconded, motion carried. Paid $1000.00.

 

            Pam and Scott Gauger requested a driveway and building permit. Hottmann motioned to grant a building and driveway permit for the Guagers. Schmidt seconded, motion passed. Paid $1500.00

 

            Kent Delsing has 65 acres that he wants to split into 2 parcels. He wants to eventually get a driveway and a building permit. He would have to rezone one of the parcels. The Planning Commission says that the land division and rezone is possible once he owns the land.

 

            Ed Weaver requested information on a cluster development on Pinnacle Road and CTH 'K'. He has a driveway in progress coming off of the highway. He owns 101 acres and would like to eventually have three clustered building sites on the property. Each site needs to be 5 acres when he picks out the three building sites. He would need a shared driveway agreement from all parties, 2 land divisions and 2 rezones.

 

            The next meeting will be held May 7, 2007 at 7:00pm at the Town Hall.  Denruiter moved to adjourn, Schutte seconded, motion passed.
