Bob Murphy explained the box culvert on Riemann Road why it went over budget. Westbrook gave the town a price for a straight box culvert and not a skewed one. The town could have rejected the bids at the time they were opened, but the town board decided to go with the bids presented. The project went $20,000 over the estimate. The county pays for half and the township pays for the other half. Murphy suggested submitting half of the construction costs to the county in October. The original estimate was $53,000.00, due to the skew the cost ended up being $66,000.00.

The town discussed hiring Bob Murphy as a consultant. Bob is willing to help the town out for a year. He just asks that any expenses for mileage and supplies be reimbursed. Gauger motioned to have Bob Murphy as a consultant to the town for the next year and we will reimburse him for mileage and expenses.  Denruiter seconded, motion passed.

The town board picked July 30th, 7:00pm for the Board of Review meeting.
