Public
Comment period - We have not gotten reimbursed for
Discussion
with the town patrolmen: The town discussed spraying the roadside for weed
control. The patrolmen advised against doing this. The patrolman installed children at play signs
and speed limit signs for the Bit-o-Green trailer park. Once water is 2 inches
or above the road the road must be closed and it has to be posted. We cannot
blockade the road.
The
patrolmen asked where to place fire signs for shared driveways. We will get
specific guidelines from the county. The county has started charging for new
fire signs. The cost is included with the building permit cost from the county.
The new fire signs that the township has to install are $20 a piece plus
shipping. Next month the board will discuss how to pay for the new signs.
Gauger motioned
to approve the rezone of .10 of an acre from Ag to AR-1 for John & Kathie DiNovella. Denruiter seconded, motion passed.
Iowa County
Humane Society is budgeting for 2008. The Humane Society is asking for
additional money this year from municipalities to cover their costs. The charge
for the Town of
Operator's Licenses for Spring Valley Inn. Gauger motioned to approve the four
operator's licenses for Steven Layton, Kelly Finn, Michelle Hutchinson, Denise Layton. Denruiter seconded, motion carried.
The Hartung ethanol plant doesn't have any limitations on the
conditional use permit as far as dates that the township knows of. Ingmar
Nelson thinks that this is the time for the township to put some restrictions
on the ethanol plant operations. The town said that all the conditions have all
ready been approved. Ingmar has concerns about the water and energy usage. He
said the water table will decrease by .9 of an inch each year and is concerned
about the effects it will have on the township. There is a county meeting on
August 15 at 6:00pm.
Wayne Schutte and Bill Gauger paid $250.00 each for their
conditional use permits.
Gauger motioned to adjourn.
Denruiter seconded, motion passed.
