Town of Arena – Regular Meeting - unofficial minutes

November 12, 2007

PRESENT: Bill Gauger, Dave Lucey, Terry Denruiter, KayDee Maxwell, Minnie Gauger, Louis Carpenter, Dick Lockman, David Meudt

Others: David Giffey, Mary Lockman, Evy Halverson, Vern Maier, Dan & Sue Adler

The meeting was called to order. Gauger moved to approve the minutes of the October 8, 2007 meeting. Denruiter seconded, motion passed. Denruiter seconded, motion passed. Gauger moved to pay the bills presented. Denruiter seconded, motion carried.

Public Comment: The town has 10-15 fire signs left to put up.

The town will send Joe Long a letter stating that the Town Board has determined that he does have a building site available on the 30 acre property.

Tom Porter needs a rezoning from AR1 to M1 on 2 acres. Gauger motioned to table the discussion till the Town Board finds out more about the zoning classifications. Denruiter seconded, motion passed.

Wally Rose needs to go to the County and fill out paperwork stating what he wants to do on his property before the Town can discuss his conditional use and rezone.

Gauger motioned to rezone the 20 acres from A1 to AR1 for Phil Roberts. Denruiter seconded, motion passed.

Kevin Gunderson and Sharon Wahl have a recreational cabin on Helena Road that is 648 square feet (outside dimensions). The town rules state that a recreational cabin shall not exceed 600 internal square feet or have indoor plumbing. It does not have plumbing. They obtained a recreational cabin permit in October 2006. The town needs to ask them for a driveway permit still. Denruiter motioned that we need to ask the owners on Helena Road for a driveway permit. Gauger seconded, motion passed. They paid 100.00 for the recreational cabin permit.

Denruiter motioned to apply for the Tripp Funds for Amacher Hollow. The project will be about $40,000 and they pay 50% of the project. Gauger seconded, motion passed.
