- The meeting was called to order at 7:04 pm.  Roll call was taken, all board members are present. Denruiter motioned that the meeting notice was posted in the proper public places. Gauger seconded, motion passed. Gauger moved to approve the minutes of the July 14, 2008 meeting. Denruiter seconded, motion passed.

James Whitacker - would like to improve the ditch line on Oak Road to make it easier to mow and maintain. He will use his own equipment and materials to do this. The patrolmen will check on this from time to time. The board said this would be fine.

John and Robyn Hackett - Denruiter motioned to approve the rezone to AR1 and combine the two parcels to total 5.01 acres. They will have no more building sites. Gauger seconded, motion passed.

Falmouth Stables, Steve Sawle - The Town needs to repay Steve Sawle for the property taxes and interest accrued on Lots 1-21 and Lot 22. The Town wonders if we have to pay this right away and how interest should be calculated. The Board will communicate with our attorney. Gauger motioned to pay the refund as soon as we find out an answer so we are not paying more interest on this. Denruiter seconded, motion passed.

Phil Roberts would like to replace an existing trailer house on his property. The Board doesn't have a problem with this. Roberts will owe the $100 fee.

Town Patrolmen - Lucey ordered blacktop for about $7/yard. Exposed 500 feet of gravel on Mellum and on Coon Rock Road that needs attention. The budget for road work will be set at $25,000.

Denruiter motioned to approve the operator's licenses for Phillip Wirts, Ken Nachreiner, and Dave Burkhalter. Gauger seconded, motion passed.

Bob Murphy - bridge update for River Road. There will be a trade off with the DNR and Township for land. The bridge will be built in 2009 and we probably won't be billed until 2010. Project cost between $300,000 & $350,000.

Ethanol Plant project will no longer go forward in the foreseeable future as of July 24, 2008.

Gauger motioned to pay the bills as presented. Denruiter seconded, motion passed.

The Board discussed the Town Assessor and the mistakes that have been made with assessing property taxes.

Denruiter motioned to put the Assessment Services out for bid if we still can. Gauger seconded, motion passed. Gauger motioned to put the money, $19890.83, in an interest bearing account and the money will go to Steve Sawle as a refund when we find out more information from our attorney.

Gauger motioned to adjourn. Denruiter seconded, motion passed.
