Town of Arena – unofficial minutes

October 13 2008

PRESENT: Bill Gauger, Dave Lucey, Terry Denruiter, KayDee Maxwell, Minnie Gauger, Louis Carpenter, Dave Meudt, Dick Lockman, Evy Halverson, Ingmar Nelson

- The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm. Roll call was taken, all board members are present. Gauger moved to approve the minutes of the September 8, 2008 meeting. Denruiter seconded, motion passed.

Bob Murphy reported on the River Road Bridge - the DNR said that their fiscal year money is drying up and probably wouldn't have any for Arena. DOT would like to delay project till 2010. The board said that this was okay for the DOT to delay the project so maybe we could then get the money from the DNR later on.

Evy Halverson updated the Board on the driveway for the commercial property on USH 14. The DOT wants to make a Village Street and frontage road for access to the property. Else, the neighbors have to sign off for access on the existing driveway.

The Town has one open liquor license. The board discussed selling it or keeping it in the Town. Gauger motioned to not sell the liquor license out of the Township. Denruiter seconded, motion passed.

Armeta McCutchin - Gauger motioned to approve the land division of lot 1 being 20 acres and lot 2 being 6.913 acres. Lot one will be rezoned from A1 to AR1 and lot 2 from A1 to C1. Denruiter seconded, motion passed.

Discussion with the patrolmen. They need to paint the walls in the Town Hall some rainy day.

Denruiter motioned to approve the bills as presented. Gauger seconded, motion passed.

Gauger motioned to adjourn. Denruiter seconded, motion passed.
