ARENA PLAN COMMISSION - unofficial minutes

November 3, 2008

The meeting was called to order. Roll call was taken. Plan Commission members present are John Wright, Wayne Schutte, Cheryl Schmidt, Bob Murphy, Rod Anding. Others present are KayDee Maxwell, Terry Denruiter, Bill Gauger, Evy Halveson, Minnie Gauger, Ingmar Nelson, Marko Baxter,

Murphy motioned to approve the motion minutes from the October 13, 2008 meeting. Anding seconded, motion passed.

Chris Cervantes - house on Helena Road is not 1000 sq. ft. unless the basement is finished off. The board will have to make sure this is completed.

Bill & Minnie Gauger request a building permit on Helena Road. Would like to start building in March. Using the existing roadway, don't need to change the zoning. Schutte motioned to approve the building permit. Schmidt seconded, motion passed. They owe the $1000 fee.

Discussed the sunset clause on conditional use permits. We can make the decision on a case by case basis whether or not to implement them.

Evy Halverson - updated the Plan Commission on the driveway for the commercial property on USH 14. The DOT wants to make a Village Street and frontage road for access to the property. Else, the neighbors have to sign off for access on the existing driveway. They need a variance for 7 users on the roadway. The Town will not take on any more roadways now or in the future. The neighbors do not want this to be a heavy use area or the lots rezoned to B3.

The Planning Commission doesn't have a problem with this.

Anding motioned to adjourn. Murphy seconded, motion passed.
