OTHERS:  Randy Terronez, Minnie Gauger, Ingmar Nelson, John Halverson, Bill Buckridge

The meeting was called to order.

Murphy motioned to approve the minutes from February 2, 2009 meeting. Schutte seconded, motion passed.

Randy Terronez , Administrator for Iowa County - discussion about the 2016 Olympics. Chicago partnering with Wisconsin for three bike events that will be in Dane and Iowa County. The Town of Arena would be affected on Aug. 20, 2016. The bike racers would be going on Zwettler and Pinnacle Road.  The Olympics is considered a FEMA type event and we can be reimbursed for expenses. It is not required that any road improvements be made. However, we could take advantage of the Federal money and redo the roads for the race. There would only be closures of the roads on the actual race day, probably for a ½ day. The Town decides if we want to sign off on the agreement from the Olympic Committee. There will be a meeting in the Town of Brigham on Tuesday the 10th.

Bill Buckridge - conditional use permit to manufacture cultured stone in the existing buildings. Current zoning is B2. Traffic - foreseeing two loads going out per day. There would be minimal noise, about the noise of a palm sander. Would like to work later in the day, 8-5pm, to eventually employee high school students. Looking at working 6 days a week. Would like to be a wholesaler for contractors. Storage of the product would be mostly inside. Would the zoning need to be B3 for the property? Bill should ask the County how the property needs to be zoned. The personal property taxes need to be paid on the property before a decision can be made by the committee. Bill's phone 206-6447. The committee tabled the discussion till we find out more on zoning from the County.

Bill & Minnie Gauger - requesting a rezone and land division. Current zoning is 3.8 acres zoned B2 for mini warehouses. Also, a long north & south strip zoned B4 for the salvage yard. Instead of having 50 -100 ft. buffers along the salvage yard, bring out the buffer to the lot lines. Then, rezone the North part of B4 to AR1. This will be lot 1 where Gauger's want to build a house. Then there is a second proposed building site, lot 3. It is zoned Ag now and needs to be AR1, 28 acres. Anding motioned to rezone lot 1 from B4 and Ag to AR 1, 23.41 acres; move the lot line of lot 2 out to the edge of the easement, in front of the mini warehouses; rezone lot 3, 28.0+- acres, from Ag to AR1, with one building site. Schutte seconded, motion passed. Construction on the home will begin early spring. Gauger's paid the $500 fee.

Anding motioned to adjourn. Hottmann seconded, motion passed.
