Town of
April 13, 2009
PRESENT: Bill Gauger,
- The meeting was called to
order at 7:00 pm. Roll call was taken,
all board members are present. Gauger moved to approve the minutes of the March
9, 2009 meeting. Denruiter seconded, motion passed. Gauger moved to approve the
minutes of the March 26, 2009 meeting. Denruiter seconded, motion passed.
- Public Comment: Jim Corcoran
- wants to get
- Ingmar Nelson talked to a
neighbor who had suggested the possibility of a nuclear plant.
- Fred & Julie Marti -
They need to set aside 4 acres of waste land and 1 acre for the house. They can
take as much land as they want to include in the parcel. The board took a look
at the property and measured 220 from the right-of-way of the road. The board
motioned to approve the building permit contingent on receiving a certified
survey. Denruiter seconded, motion passed. If they want to sell their current
house a minimum of 5 acres has to go with it. Gauger motioned to rezone the
parcel from A1 to AR1, grant a driveway permit and a land division contingent
on a certified survey map. Denruiter seconded, motion passed. They paid the
$2000 fee.
- The board reviewed the job
applicants for the garbage/recycling attendant position. Lucey would rather the
garbage center open from 8am-Noon instead of 9am - 1pm. Residents had suggested
they would like it open earlier. Gauger motioned to hire James Wirtz for the
position. Denruiter seconded, motion passed. We will ask Louis his thoughts on
changing the hours.
- The patrolmen worked on
the bridge taking all the old nets down and put up the new nets. We are all set
to go on the bridge then. The bridge lets in May. Construction on Amacher
Hollow is set to start on May 1.

Denruiter motioned to approve the land division on
- 2010 Census -
- Discussion about the
resolution for opposing prevailing wage law proposed by Governor Doyle. Doyle
wants to make the law applicable to any public work contract over $2000.00.
Lucey motioned that the board is opposed to the prevailing wage law effective
immediately. Denruiter seconded, motion passed.
- Discussion with the
Patrolmen -

Roads that need
work this year - Hayward 1 mile, Frontier 7/10, Riemann Road 2/10, Pinnacle
3/10 at least, Blynn 7/10, Moral Road 6/10, Amacher 1 mile, Lexington, Linley,
Roberts, Mellum. The budget will be no more than $75,000 for roads this year.

The new broom is
working good

motioned to give Don Rose $30 for letting the Town use his boat. Gauger
seconded, motion passed.
- The County and
- Gauger motioned to approve
the bills. Denruiter seconded, motion passed.
- The Town reviewed the bids
for gravel. Bindl Bauer Limestone: gravel 5.69/ton, chips $7.41/ton, breaker
$5.62/ton. Kowalski-Kieler, gravel $6.95, breaker $6.95/ton
