ARENA PLAN COMMISSION

Meeting was called to order.

 

Schutte motioned to approve the minutes from the November 2, 24, 30 and December 3 meetings. Murphy seconded, motion passed.

 

Gary Heck - Change zoning on Wittwer farm from A1 to Residential. There was 54 acres, sold 2 acres and wants to build a house on 5 acres now. Deed says he has three building permits. Plan on building in the spring. Murphy motioned to rezone 5 acres for Heck. Anding seconded, motion passed. The driveway will be right off off Wittwer Road. It will be a shared driveway. Schmidt motioned to approve a driveway permit and land division of 5 acres. Hottmann seconded, motion passed. Heck owe $1000.

 

Evy & Vern Halverson - move a 5th house to the cattle ranch (3rd in the Township). 6.61 acres. Conditional on them getting the house from Spring Green. Schutte motioned to approve the building permit contingent on them getting the house. Murphy seconded, motion passed. They owe the $1000 fee. + 1 driveway and 1 building permit

 

Ingmar Nelson - Ingmar brought in a new map for the committee. Agri-tainment lot just over 10 acres. Rezone Southern Lot to AB1, leave large field A1, Lot 2 & 3 RB1. Proposing recreational business of tourist cottages, ag uses, hunting & fishing preserve. Wright would be more comfortable to move them to AR1. Ingmar needs a map with the current zoning and property lines. He wants to put 3 cabins on the property with septic systems and wells. He would need 25 acres. Is the Island considered contiguous land? It would be zoned AR1. How many parcels are on the island? Ingmar needs a business plan. The committee doesn't want to take Ag land out of production for greenhouses and rezone the land to commercial. What about conservancy? Conservancy would lock the land for 20 years. Lucey and Schutte are not okay with taking the Ag land out, but would be okay with the island.  Schmidt motioned to table the discussion. Anding seconded, motion passed.

 

Anding motioned to table the discussion on the building standards. Hottmann seconded, motion passed.

 

Schmidt motioned to adjourn. Murphy seconded, motion passed.
