Meeting was called to order.
Wright motioned to allow Ingmar Nelson to record the meeting. Lucey seconded, motion denied. Ingmar can record his portion of the meeting. We will look into him recording the whole meeting.
Anding motioned to approve the minutes from the December 7, 2009 meeting. Schutte seconded, motion passed.
Gary Heck - apply for building permit on Wittwer farm, 5 acres. Schutte motioned to approve the building permit. Schmidt seconded, motion passed. The $1000 fee was paid.
Ingmar Nelson - rezone his land to conservancy. Nelson was concerned that his proposal was not passed at the County. Someone at the County said his application was vague. Conservancy effect on the Township levy wouldn't have any effect for Nelson or the Township. If he wanted to take his house and cabin to AR1 and the rest goes to conservancy. Nelson has made an application at the County so if passed before March he wouldn't be have to pay the conversion fee. Nelson said that is not a given. 11 acres with the house and cabin to AR1. They are two separate parcels. There would be a remaining 228 acres to conservancy C1. Cropping, pasturing, prairie restoration is allowed on C1. Lucey wants a CSM of the island and the homes separated out. For the next meeting Wright wants a CSM and then he would be okay with C1 zoning. Schutte wants a proposal for what Nelson wants. Gauger & Denruiter suggested he fill out the zoning application for next meeting so we know exactly what he wants. 50 foot right away with Alsums. Nelson talked with Mike Bindle and it was grandfathered in.
Anderson fertilizer requested to change zoning at County. Nelson wanted to know when they came before the board?
January 20 there is another meeting for the WI working land inititive. County wants to identify land and then give it to the Townships for approval. The zoning is not figured out yet.
Schutte motioned to adjourn. Anding seconded, motion passed.
