Town of Arena - Annual Meeting

April 14, 2010

PRESENT: Dave Lucey, Terry Denruiter, Bill Gauger, KayDee Maxwell, Ingmar Nelson, Mary Lockman, Dick Lockman, Bob Murphy

- The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm. Roll call was taken, all members are present.

- Lucey went over the 2009 annual report. He mentioned that the curbside garbage fee went from $108 to $193 over the past year, so it was a good decision not to do it. Murphy motioned to approve the expenses and revenues for 2009. Lockman seconded, motion passed.

- Roadwork we are doing 2.3 miles this year. Erdman Rd. is the biggest project. 3 culverts this year. We bought extra salt last year so we are sitting good on that. $53/ton.

- Fireboard - ambulance responded to 141 calls, Fire calls there were 39. Eric Drachenberg is still the fire chief. We got a new ambulance and sold the old one. It cost the township $14000. There is now a $500 fee for structures for fires. The bricks on the fire station were seal coated to help prevent leaks. All seals have been replaced. There is still a small leak around the north door.

- Equipment Update - Dick's truck is paid for and the tractor will be paid for this fall. We bought a lawn mower.

- Gauger motioned to adjourn. Lockman seconded, motion passed.
