Town of Arena

September 13, 2010

PRESENT: Dave Lucey, Terry Denruiter, Bill Gauger, KayDee Maxwell, Mary Lockman, Dick Lockman, David Meudt, John Wright, Ingmar Nelson

- The meeting was called to order at 7:02 pm. Roll call was taken, all members are present.

- Gauger motioned to approve the minutes from the August 9, 2010 meeting. Denruiter seconded, motion passed.

- Barb Bodenstein - John Wright is fine with Bodenstein continuing with the rezoning from commercial to Ag. The $250 fee needs to be paid.

- John Wright and Rod Anding are still planning on driving around the town to check on things on a regular basis.

- There may be up to $250,000 of stimulus money for road work. Lucey thought of Ray Hollow Road and Coon Rock Road. Looking at 3 culverts for $3500. Looks like we will have money in the budget to do this yet this year. Denruiter motioned to fix the 3 culverts this year. Gauger seconded, motion passed. Gauger motioned to advertise for bids on the roof for the salt shed. Whoever gets the bid needs to have their own liability insurance. Minimum of a 30 year shingle. Needs to be done yet this year. Bids in by Oct. 4. Questions go to Bill Gauger. Denruiter seconded, motion passed.

- Do we want to have a town wide meeting on the new WI working lands initiative law? Lucey will set up a meeting date with Scott Godfrey.

- We don't have to pay for one of the tests for monitoring the water according to the DNR.

- Iowa County Humane Society agreement. Denruiter motioned to approve $475 for the Iowa County humane society. Gauger seconded motion passed.

- Gauger motioned to approve the operators license for Jessica Zajicek. Denruiter seconded, motion passed.

- Gauger motioned to approve the bills as presented. Denruiter seconded, motion passed.

- Gauger motioned to adjourn. Denruiter seconded, motion passed.
